Policy Committee
The Policy Committee serves as the FEB governing body. Members are called upon by the FEB Chair to establish overarching goals, review and approve work plans, provide additional resources as needed, monitor progress and evaluate accomplishments, recommend changes in direction, and suggest areas for improvement.

Committee & Councils
Emergency Preparedness & Operations Continuity Committee
The council is composed of full-time and collateral duty representatives from varied Federal, state, city, and academic entities in the area served by the FEB. The committee is responsible for the design and execution of yearly LIBERTY DOWN table-top and full-scale emergency exercises. It also hosts stand-alone programs on: building a solid COOP plan, how to contract for alternate space, the demands of document protection and recovery, etc. The committee meets monthly.

Partners In Equality (PIE) Council
Created in 1996 by consolidating all special emphasis program, the Council is comprised of primary EEO officials (both full-time or collateral duty) from federal agencies. The Council’s vision is to promote an inclusive and nurturing work environment where individual differences and contributions are valued. The Steering Committee meets monthly and its functions include: design and implementation of the Annual EEO/Diversity Day of Training (which attracts more than 750 attendees each year); Careers in Government briefings at colleges & universities; and operating our ADR program.

Philadelphia Area Staffing Society (PASS)
Managed by a Steering Committee that meets monthly, PASS presents quarterly best practice/HR program updates across the entire spectrum of HR functions, except training/employee development. PASS provides a forum for federal HR professionals to discuss common and emerging staffing/ placement issues; publicize and share new staffing techniques, procedures and innovations; solicit opinions on new and proposed regulations, etc. PASS also hosts a yearly Expo with multiple workshops addressing key topics of current interest.

Federal Employee Development Society (FEDS)
The society meets quarterly to explore and share ideas on training & employee development generally but specifically look at six aspects of training operations – defining business outcomes, designing the complete training experience, delivering for application, driving follow-through, deploying active support, and documenting results.

Public Affairs Officers Committee
The committee meets quarterly to discuss and explore the issues of media relations, community outreach, and skills enhancement for members.

Hazardous Operations Committee
This interagency group confers by telecon as needed to assess hazardous weather or other conditions that impact the safety of federal employees as they either come to or depart from work. Member agencies decide for themselves whether to support FEB decisions/recommendations or to have their own plans.

Organizational Coaching Committee
This committee meets twice a year and is composed of graduates of our certificated program with the University of Pennsylvania. Graduates must have completed five two-day workshops in different aspect of organizational coaching. The committee recommends the number of workshops to be offered each year and the topics to be covered.
